from just
US$ 560.00 p.p.
The Eiffel Tower….Arc de Triomphe….Palais du Louvre…the Champs Elysees….Notre Dame.…Montmartre and
the Sacre Coeur….Quartier Latin….Pompidou Centre….Le Moulin Rouge….are just some of the 'must see'
sights of Paris.
Panorama Tours invites you to enjoy a romantic weekend in Paris with the flexibility
to do what you want, when you want and how you want.
Paris - as a tourist destination needs no introduction. Often referred to as the
'City of Love', it's one of the most popular destinations for weekend breaks. Divided into
20 districts or 'arrondissements' (numbered as they spiral out from the centre), it is
also split into two by the bustling River Seine - the Left Bank on the south side and
the Right Bank on the north side.
There is so much to see and do… and what better way to start off than with a trip
on the River Seine by Bateaux Mouches. These pleasure cruise ships are a spectacular
sight with their passenger areas enclosed in glass for excellent all round viewing.
Departing from the Pont de l'Alma every 30 minutes, you have a chance to see most
of the famous sights - from the Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame on the Ile de la Cite.
The Eiffel Tower is one of the dominating features of the Paris skyline. It's 324 meters high
and has 3 levels to which tourists can either take the double-decker lifts or walk. From the
very top, on a clear day you can see for 70 km and enjoy spectacular views of the city.
Another dominating feature is the Sacre Coeur Basilica - the dome of which is the second
highest point in Paris after the Eiffel Tower. Nearby you have the famous Place du Tertre
- full of artists displaying all their wares.
Fancy a stroll? Then head to the Champs-Elysees which links the Arc de Triomphe with the Place
de la Concorde. With its pavement cafes, restaurants and kiosks and colourful shop windows
it's a great way to relax and people watch! Walk a little further and you come to the Musee
du Louvre - home to some of the world's most important art collections and of course the
Mona Lisa.
The Notre Dame Cathedral dominates the eastern half of the Ile de la Cite and is famous
for its Rose Stained Glass Windows. Nearby you have Beaubourg - home to the Pompidou
Centre and popular with lovers of modern art.
If its markets you look for, then head for the Marche aux Puces (Flea market) with over
2000 open or covered stalls or the Marche aux Fleurs et Oiseaux (Flower & Bird market).
Whilst in Paris, you will be staying at the 3* Opera Cadet Hotel which is centrally located
just minutes from the Opera.
It has just 85 rooms - many with views overlooking the interior garden.
Eating is a natural past-time for the French and eating out is such a pleasure - be it in
a restaurant, bistro, cafe or wine bar. The Latin Quarter and St Germain des Pres are filled
with bistros, outdoor cafes and wine bars - the narrow cobbled streets add that little
extra romance to the evening. Here you will find menus and prices catering for all
tastes & budgets. Bon Appetit!
If it's the 'ooh-la-la' experience you seek, then its time to hit one of the famous
cabaret shows - Le Moulin Rouge (famous for the cancan), the Lido (famous for the
Bluebell girls) or Folies-Begeres (the oldest music hall in Paris), and of course,
the rather risque Crazy Horse!
And if you still have time…
Visit the Palace and Gardens of Versailles or spend the day in EuroDisney.
